Local Pickup FAQ's

Local Pick Up allows a customer to purchase wines online, either via a winery website or the Vinebase marketplace, and skip the shipping fee to pick up the wines in person instead.

What is Local Pick Up?

If turned on, Local Pick Up is available for:

  • Customers who live in your state
  • Winery website orders
  • Marketplace orders where applicable
  • Wine club orders (coming soon!)
  • Gift orders (coming soon!)

When an order is set for Local Pick Up, the following becomes true:

  1. Order has $0 shipping fee
  2. Order gets notifications for Local Pick Up instead of normal shipping notifications

How to set up Local Pick Up?

  1. Go to your Portal
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Go to Shipping Settings
  4. Toggle Local Pickup

Can customers choose Local Pick Up at checkout?

Customers can add wines to their cart and proceed to checkout If a winery has Local Pick Up enabled, the customer has the option to select Local Pick Up. This makes the shipping fee $0

How Can I Fulfill a Local Pick Up?

You may need to reach out to the customer to coordinate their pick up. The customers' email address is on the Order Details page, which you can access if you click on.

When the customer has picked up the order, you can click "Confirm successful pickup".
