Advanced shipment set up FAQ's

If you would like to give your new wine club members more immediate exposure to your wine club, consider employing the advanced shipment setup option when creating your tiers!

What is advanced shipment setup?

When you create or edit a membership tier, you can select “Automatically add new members to the latest open club shipment.” By enabling this advanced feature, when a new member joins this club tier, they will immediately be included in the currently open club shipment, and be given the option to start customizing their first club order.

How does the member sign up flow differ using advanced shipment set up? 

If you enable the "Automatically add new members to the latest open club shipment" option within a wine club tier, new members will immediately be brought to this page upon completing the normal sign up flow.

Can a new member opt-out of the automatic first shipment?

Yes! If they desire, new members can opt-out of the first shipment by clicking "Cancel shipment." This will not cancel their wine club membership sign up, just this specific shipment.

Does the shipment run automatically for new members when they sign up?

If these options are enabled, the current open shipment does not run or charge a new member's credit card automatically upon sign up. As the winery, if you wish for shipments to be immediately run upon sign up, you will have to run the shipment for the open orders as you are notified that new members have signed up. Be on the look out for in-product notifications regarding new wine club member sign ups! The notification will look like "[Customer name] Joined [Tier name]":
