Managing Your Shipping Settings
Shipping settings can be found here or by logging into your winery account and heading to the Portal → Settings → Shipping.
On this page, you’ll see the following settings:
- How to set up your FedEx Account Information
- Shipping Address
- Shipping Boxes
- Shipping States
Let’s cover what you can expect to find in each section.
FedEx Account Information
If you would like to access Vinebase's FedEx rates, follow the steps below. If you do not need to access Vinebase's FedEx rates, feel free to jump to the "Shipping Address" section below.
First, you'll need to create a new FedEx account to access the applied Vinebase discount. To create this account, please reach out to us directly at [email protected] and we are more than happy to help you set one up.
Second, you'll want to connect your new FedEx account to Vinebase!
To connect a FedEx account, at a minimum, you’ll need:
- FedEx Account Number
- FedEx Account Password
- FedEx Meter Number
- FedEx Key
You will also need to have a meter number and key, you can also enter it here. If you do not have a meter number or key and would like to obtain one, please follow these instructions. The process to obtain a number and key should only take a few minutes.
If you do not have a new FedEx account with Vinebase, the Vinebase team will be happy to help you set one up. Please reach out to us directly at [email protected] to get started.
Please note: Your FedEx account must be enabled for alcohol shipping to purchase labels through Vinebase.
Your shipping address defaults to the same one on your account settings page.
If you have a shipping address different from the one already on your account, you can add a different address to be your “shipping address”.
To make getting accurate rates easier and faster, Vinebase has populated a number of common shipping boxes and their dimensions into your account.
These can be customized to use the dimensions of your own shipping boxes. To edit, make any changes and click “Save”.
If you use additional boxes (for example, special boxes to ship magnums or half bottles), you may add those here. To add boxes, click “ Add option”, enter the details of your new shipping box, and click “Save”.
This section collects information about which states you have licenses to ship to, and whether you have your own licenses for them or use a third-party shipping service like VinoShipper.
How to select shipping states:
- Check the box next to the state(s) you are able to ship to
- Select whether you have your own license or use a third-party
- Choose whether you want Vinebase to collect tax from that state
